Jaquan Brisker is officially leaving, going to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal for $5.5 million.
The writing's been on the wall with this one for a while now, so I'm not entirely shocked. But I have to say, after seeing the price tag, I am a bit surprised the Bears didn't do this.
They still need a second safety playing next to Coby Bryant, and while I expect them to draft somebody and try to get younger at the position, $5.5 million to bring back a downhill safety like Brisker would have been worthwhile, in my opinion.
