The Buffalo Bills are undefeated in the early stages of the 2025 NFL campaign, and based on their upcoming schedule, they probably aren't slowing down anytime soon.
However, the Bills are not infallible. We all know about their issues defensively, and they also have a pretty clear hole on the offensive side of the ball, too: they lack a true No. 1 receiver.
Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir have comprised Josh Allen's top targets in the wide receiver room thus far this season, but neither is an ace. At least not right now (maybe Coleman can become one in the future). Taking that into consideration, Buffalo may pursue a trade between now and the November deadline.
On that note, the Bills have been linked to a shocking potential trade for Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill.
The Dolphins trading Hill wouldn't be surprising. He expressed obvious displeasure with his situation in South Beach at the end of last season, and he has not looked entirely happy through the first few weeks of 2025. But would Miami actually send him to a division rival?
Buffalo just beat the Dolphins in Week 3 and has terrorized Miami for years now, so you wouldn't think the Dolphins would be so eager to help their AFC East foe. But if the Bills can put together the best offer for Hill, perhaps general manager Chris Grier would listen?
There is definitely risk involved when it comes to Hill. He is now 31 years old, and last year, he finished with under 1,000 yards for the first time since 20`19, and the only reason why he posted less than 1,000 yards that season was because he missed five game (he ended up with 860 yards).
Through three games in 2025, Hill has logged 15 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown. Not bad numbers, but certainly not prime Cheetah, either.
It should also be noted that Hill has one year left on his contract after this year, but it isn't guaranteed, so the Bills could, in theory, move on from him if they acquire him and he ends up being a disappointment.
But maybe Hill would rediscover his previous form with Allen throwing him passes? It would definitely represent a potentially lethal combination. That's for sure.
Buffalo's Super Bowl window has been open for a few years now, and it has been unable to capitalize. Part of that has been because of the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Chiefs no longer appear to be a prime threat. The door has now flung open for the Bills, and they may have to swing big on a trade — like one for Hill — to take advantage.
