Allen didn’t have a good game, and we’ll talk about that, but he got them downfield when it mattered most to take a lead with 1:39 left. There was even a vintage Allen play when he picked up 21 yards on the ground on a 2nd-and-17 to set up Buffalo with 1st-and-goal late in the 4th. Whether it was an unnecessary roughness call against C.J. Gardner-Johnson that gave the Rams a first down instead of a 3rd and 16, or the 3rd-and-4 offside call on Michael Hoecht that kept a Rams drive alive, Buffalo has a discipline problem. Even in overtime, a first-down run by Johnson was called back by a Skyler Bell holding, who likely heads back to the inactive list after this game.
