Tampa Bay Buccaneers' running back Bucky Irving underwent shoulder surgery over the offseason, as first reported by JoeBucsFan Monday evening.

Irving missed seven games in 2025, due to foot and shoulder problems. His foot injury healed during the season, but the shoulder bothered him throughout.

Irving only playing in 10 games made it almost impossible for him to replicate what he did as a rookie in 2024, when he rushed for 1,122 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Irving only averaged 3.4 YPC this past season, going for 588 yards and just one touchdown.
