The 73-year-old Super Bowl-champion coach for Tampa Bay later explained on Instagram: "I just wanted to clarify and let everyone know the procedure I’m having is a common one, it is something my doctors and I have been monitoring for a number of years and they recommend I correct the issue now so I can be as good as new back on the golf course ASAP."
The cantankerous Paterson, New Jersey, native has been with the Buccaneers organization since 2019, and led the team to victory in Super Bowl LV in 2021. Arians is the oldest Super Bowl-winning coach in NFL history.

The two-time NFL Coach of the Year has endured various health issues throughout his career, including bouts with prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and melanoma along with diverticulitis and chest pains that prompted him into retirement in 2017, when he was coaching the Arizona Cardinals.
He came out of retirement in 2019 to coach the Buccaneers, and retired from coaching for good in March 2022.
