The Los Angeles Chargers were close to contending in 2025. Some would even say they did contend for a championship despite falling flat against the New England Patriots in the NFL playoffs.

The playoff loss still highlighted a divide between where the team was and needed to get to compete for a Super Bowl.

The addition of new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel could be a catalyst for the team. Infusing creativity into the offense will certainly bode well for the Chargers. Will what they have be enough or should they be active in trades and free agency?
