PODCAST: Jim Harbaugh Takes the Blame as Chargers Disaster Reaches 0-5
Oct 14, 2026 2:00 PM
The Los Angeles Chargers are 0-5, and the frustration has officially reached another level.
On this episode of the Chargers Roundtable, Halk breaks down the brutal 23-17 loss to the Denver Broncos, a game Los Angeles had every chance to win before another fourth-quarter collapse. Jim Harbaugh admitted his fourth-and-one decision was the wrong call, while Justin Herbert took responsibility for his own mistakes after another difficult afternoon.
We dive into Herbert's turnovers, the pressure created by a severely depleted offensive line and the growing questions surrounding Mike McDaniel's offense. The Chargers hired McDaniel to make life easier for Herbert, but five games into the season, this unit still looks disjointed and inconsistent.
The defense also deserves serious credit. Denver was held to just 224 total yards and one third-down conversion, yet Los Angeles still found a way to lose. That raises an uncomfortable question: how long can the defense continue carrying this much weight?
Finally, we look ahead to a brutal matchup with Kansas City and discuss what Harbaugh, McDaniel and Herbert must change immediately.
The Chargers do not need another speech about fighting. They need to prove they know how to finish.
