Panic Button or Early Stumble? Where Do the 0-2 Chargers Go From Here?

Sep 22, 2026 3:57 PM

Dropping back-to-back home games to Arizona and Las Vegas to sit at 0-2 isn't where anyone expected Jim Harbaugh’s squad to be. While you could lean into the "moral victory" narrative from that hard-fought 26-14 battle against the Raiders, especially with Justin Herbert flashing potential on those deep shots to Tre' Harris, moral victories don't move you up the AFC West standings. The talent is too high across this roster for the offense to look this out of sync and continue turning the ball over. Where do we go from here? Clean up the costly mistakes, settle Justin Herbert into a rhythm under the new scheme, and let Harbaugh refocus this group before a brutal road trip to Buffalo leaves them behind. There is still plenty of football left, but the turnaround has to start right now.
