PODCAST: Chargers Fall to 0-4 as Justin Herbert, Mike McDaniel Face Must-Win Broncos Test
Oct 6, 2026 3:40 AM
The Los Angeles Chargers are 0-4 after a 30-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and the pressure around this team is officially at a different level.
On this episode of the Chargers Roundtable, Halk breaks down how Los Angeles fell behind 27-6, why four turnovers were so damaging and how Justin Herbert somehow looked like two completely different quarterbacks in the same game. Herbert struggled badly in the first half before settling in and playing much cleaner football after halftime, giving the Chargers at least one encouraging sign to build around.
We also dive into Mike McDaniel's offense after Jim Harbaugh publicly backed his coordinator, the growing offensive line crisis and why injuries to Rashawn Slater, Joe Alt and Trevor Penning could become the biggest story of the week.
There are positives. Omarion Hampton continues to flash, Tre' Harris is earning more opportunities, while Tuli Tuipulotu and Khalil Mack are giving the defense legitimate playmaking up front.
Finally, we preview a massive AFC West matchup against the Denver Broncos. At 0-4, this is no longer about moral victories or showing improvement. The Chargers need a win before the season gets away from them completely.
The talent is still there. The excuses are running out. Now Los Angeles has to prove it can actually finish.
