The Indianapolis Colts and Anthony Richardson Sr. have mutually agreed to allow the 23-year-old quarterback to seek out a trade, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder.
In three seasons, Richardson has been plagued by injuries, available for only 29 of 51 career games. Last year, he suffered a fractured orbital bone in his eye area, which ended his season prematurely.
If Richardson does get traded, it could likely be for a 2026 Day 3 pick (Rounds 4-7) or a 2027 conditional pick. For example, a fifth-round pick that could become a fourth- or third-round pick if Richardson hits certain thresholds.
Richardson has one more year left on his current contract, worth a fully guaranteed $10.8 million. As a former fourth-overall pick, his team could exercise his fifth-year option for 2027, but it carries a $23.5 million price tag.
Teams such as the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, or Los Angeles Rams could be interesting destinations.
