It's not just Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter who's in line to interview for the same spot with the New York Giants; Colts passing game coordinator (and former Giants QB) Alex Tanney has also been requested, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Despite the Colts' 8-9 record, their coaching staff is garnering interest around the NFL.

Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo has interviewed for the head-coaching jobs of the Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, and Giants. Cooter has interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles' OC job, and it a strong candidate for the role. And now, both Cooter and Tanney are being requested to interview for the Giants' job.

This definitely warrants monitoring, as Tanney is a logical choice to replace Cooter as the Colts' OC if he is hired elsewhere.

Note: While Cooter's potential hiring as an offensive coordinator is a lateral move in title, he would be calling plays, as Shane Steichen does now for the Colts. The Colts almost certainly would not block any of these moves, as Steichen is a significant proponent of Cooter getting positive opportunities.
