Washington fans need to pump the brakes on the campaign to #FreeAiyuk. Adam Peters has a big decision to make at pick 7 and WR is almost certainly being considered there. Commanders fans should look at the Aiyuk signing as a Plan B in their quest to find their starter opposite of Terry McLaurin.

Obviously if San Francisco releases Aiyuk before the draft, Washington will most likely have to move on signing him if he's in their plans for 2026. They would be better served making that decision Post-Draft after they have the opportunity to fill that need with a younger, faster option that comes at a lower cost for the next 4-5 years and can grow with Jayden Daniels.

Yes it's still possible they draft a WR with one of their first two picks and also sign Aiyuk to a 1 year deal. I'd prefer that they have the opportunity to draft a future WR1/WR2 first, which makes it easier to determine if that signing is necessary instead of wondering after the fact.
