My first favorite player was Bob Lilly.

When I was five I lived in The DMV and I got in my first fight because and the kids in my class were taunting me because Bob Lilly had a flower name.  (Things like that matter when you are five).  Anyway the incident ended with the teacher pulling me off of my classmates and send me to the VP Mrs. Kayton’s office. There I received a thorough paddling.  My protest of injustice fell on the deaf ears of the dreaded and formidable Mrs. Kayton.   That is what Bob Lilly means to me. That taught me early on sometimes you have to fight for your rights and what you believe in and damn the consequences.Aug 31, 2026
