The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly set to hired Mathieu Araujo away from the Miami Dolphins, as new hire Jeff Hafley gets a grip on what his coaching ranks look like in the wake of the team firing Mike McDaniel on Jan. 8.

Araujo has been with the Dolphins since 2022, first as an assistant defensive backs coach, then as the cornerbacks coach, starting in 2024. Araujo's tenure overlapped with the years Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile spent in Miami as the Dolphins' linebackers coach.

The Jaguars have not yet confirmed hiring Araujo, and there's no word on what position he would hold in Jacksonville.

Anthony Perkins oversees defensive backs for the Jaguars, after joining Campanile in leaving the Green Bay Packers after the 2024 season.

Perkins' first full-time NFL job was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he served as the assistant to then head coach Dirk Koetter in 2017 and 2018.

Amidst the flurry of head-coach interviews Campanile and offensive coordinator Grant Udinski are involved in, the Jaguars' coaching staff lost two assists this past weekend.

On Friday, Jacksonville let go its secondary coach, Ron Milus.

The following day, assistant offensive line coach and run-game specialist Keli'i Kekuewa was hired away by Stanford, where he'll focus on the offensive line for the Cardinal.
