The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the re-signing of linebacker Dennis Gardeck on Monday.
The team also secured fourth-year cornerback Montaric Brown on Monday, two days ahead of the opening of free agency.
Gardeck, heading into his ninth year in the NFL, played in all 17 games for the Jaguars last season, starting in eight. The 2018 undrafted free agent out of Sioux Falls first joined Jacksonville in June 2025 after spending his first seven seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
Gardeck was on an expiring one-year, $2 million contract.
On Monday, Gardeck agreed to a two-year contract worth $12 million, according to Spotrac.
Serving primarily as an edge rusher for the Jags, Gardeck finished the season with 37 tackles (six for a loss), nine quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble; he also made 11 tackles on special teams.
