Jacksonville Jaguars great Fred Taylor turned 50 on Tuesday.

The Pahokee native is the Jags' all-time leading rusher, playing in Jacksonville for 11 seasons after being drafted ninth overall in 1998 out of Florida. Taylor finished his Jags career with 11,271 rushing yards and 62 touchdowns.

In 2012, Taylor became the second player inducted into the Pride of the Jaguars, following Tony Boselli's induction in 2006.

The 2007 All-Pro was among the candidates named in the fall for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026, but did not make the finalists list. Taylor is a two-time finalist for Canton; this year was his sixth time as a semifinalist.
