Saints, Lions Look to Break Out of Last Place

The New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions have high hopes and high potential heading into the 2026 season. They face off against each other in Week 1.

Both teams struggled in 2026 earning last place finishes in their respective divisions. Albeit the Lions' 9-8 last place finish looked different than the Saints' 6-11 last place result.

If either team is going to get out of last place in their division, this first matchup would be a good place to start.
