The Houston Texans have added veteran Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Braden Smith to their 2026 roster. While underrated, the move fills an important need on the offensive line.

The Texans famously traded away Tytus Howard to the Cleveland Browns with Howard likely too expensive for Houston to re-sign. The trade may have puzzled fans who saw the team struggle to protect Stroud last season. Even so, the addition of Smith more sustainably fills an offensive line spot.

Did the Texans do enough in signing Smith or do they need to sign another offensive lineman?
