After consecutive seasons of winning the AFC South, winning Wild Card playoff games, and advancing to the Divisional Round, all the Houston Texans players have ever known is success in the last two seasons.
That is why their 0-3 start to this season has been baffling to the organization, coaches, players, media members and fans.
With the talent that the team possesses on both sides of the ball, Houston should not be in the winless column.
Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has the same mindset and believes that it may be time for a “Players Only” meeting.
“That’s definitely something we talked about already,” said Al-Shaair at his locker on Monday when I asked about the likelihood of the meeting.
Houston will have to find some sort of mental fortitude on Sunday to avoid starting the season 0-4 as they take on the winless Tennessee Titans at NRG Stadium.
