The Minnesota Vikings are ensuring continuity along their defensive front, placing a restricted free agent tender on defensive lineman Jalen Redmond, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The move positions the Vikings to retain one of their most productive defenders from last season while maintaining flexibility as the offseason unfolds.

Redmond, 26, emerged as a steady force in 2025, appearing in all 17 games and starting 15.

He delivered a breakout campaign with 62 tackles, six sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and five pass breakups.

His versatility and relentless motor gave Minnesota’s defensive line a consistent interior presence and helped stabilize the unit throughout the year.
