The Minnesota Vikings’ opening week of free agency has left much to be desired, reflected in their D+ grade from PFSN.
For a team looking to build around superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson, the lack of impactful moves has raised concerns about the franchise’s overall direction heading into the 2026 season.
Minnesota’s most notable addition came at quarterback with Kyler Murray, a high-upside move that could pay dividends if he returns to form.
However, beyond Murray, the Vikings’ activity has been minimal.
Cornerback James Pierre was brought in to add depth to the secondary, but he is not viewed as a game-changing acquisition.
The Vikings did make efforts to retain some of their own talent, re-signing running back Aaron Jones and linebacker Eric Wilson.
Jones provides stability in the backfield, while Wilson offers familiarity on defense.
Still, these moves feel more like maintenance than meaningful improvement.
