At a bucking eventat the Fort Bend County Rodeo in Rosenberg, Texas, 27-year-old Texas Native Virgil René Gazca was in the ring taking part in a bullfighting showcase.

After the incident, Gazcz told TV station KHOU 11 that he was "OK... and fueled by adrenaline."
