0%Borussia Dortmund have reportedly taken a significant step toward bringing European football’s biggest club match back to Germany after officially submitting an application to host a future UEFA Champions League final.
According to reports shared by SPORT BILD, the Bundesliga giants are among the clubs seeking hosting rights once UEFA introduces a new hosting model.
Traditionally, UEFA has selected neutral stadiums through national football associations, but beginning in 2029 clubs themselves are expected to be eligible to apply directly to stage the prestigious event.
What an opportunity for such an iconic stadium.
