The Blues target two French prodigies, a Rennes center-back and a Saint-Etienne midfielder, as they plan future squad reinforcements.

For some time now, Chelsea have been looking for ways to improve their squad for the future, as we know. And for that reason, they are already closely following two French gems who are attracting interest from the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Chelsea have been trying to find the right formula for some time to build an increasingly strong project, based on recruiting gems from across the footballing world. So that they can finish developing at one of the clubs within this team's orbit.

At Stamford Bridge, they are trying to move forward with the arrival of several of these young talents. In fact, The Athletic now reports that the English club has decided to accelerate the acquisition of two of these pearls, who are currently catching the attention of the Blues.

Jeremy Jacquet, a 20-year-old player from Rennes, is the first of these footballers. A center-back who has just participated in 15 matches with the Breton club. And on the other hand is Djylian N'Guessan, another young Frenchman of 17 who plays for Saint-Etienne.

A player who is beginning to emerge at this historic French club, where he has already played 2 matches. A player who therefore joins the radar of talents being tracked by the London team to solidify their project for the coming years.

Chelsea Looking to Offload Players Before Making Moves

As reported by The Athletic, Chelsea wants to part ways immediately with English wingers Raheem Sterling, 31, and Tyrique George, 19, as well as French defender Axel Disasi, 27.

Sterling cost Chelsea 56.2 million euros ($62.3 million) in July 2022, when they signed him from Manchester City (which, in turn, acquired his services in the summer of 2015 from Liverpool). He was the first major signing of the 'Todd Boehly era' as the owner of Chelsea. He is the highest-paid player on the London squad (373,000 euros per week) and is under contract until 2027.

But the English international's performance for the Blues has always been irregular, failing to meet the expectations that accompanied his arrival at Chelsea. A possible destination for Sterling would be a Saudi Arabian club.
