On Saturday evening, a miserable week for Chelsea was compounded with a defeat at home to Newcastle United, despite the visitors having just three away wins in their previous 14 games this season.
There has been plenty of criticism of the players and the performances in the game, with the likes of Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana in particular being criticised for their performances.
But there have also been critics of Liam Rosenior. His comments on the pre-game huddle have been slaughtered, as well as his team selection and general tactical approach.
Well, there is one more think that has been picked up on. During Sky Sports' Monday Night Football yesterday, Premier League legend Thierry Henry was not happy with the boss' demeanor leading up to Newcastle's goal.
The 48 year old said this: "I'll show you, here. Liam Rosenior. I've been there [as a manager], you're disappointed that they allowed this ball to go inside. But we're not at the training ground, where you can go 'ah, let's start again'.
So since you [Rosenior] talked about players do not react, and they like to be coached or coached to maybe give them that freedom. Then coach it. Because there is a mistake, we all know there is a mistake.
He's not coaching it on the field, and unfortunately - I said to you I've been there - he isn't even looking at what's happening. Goal. It isn't easy. It's easy to talk here [as pundits]. I've been there like I said to you, on the bench. But, that's what they needed to deal with, and they didn't."
Some interesting comments. On the face of it, you probably think it's harsh. There is so much scrutiny on Rosenior that his movements on the sidelines are being questioned, etc.
However, it was a little weird, you have to say. You'd have thought the 40-year old is a more pro-active manager than that. He is usually quite active in his technical area during the games.
All in all, it was a disastrous goal to concede in a terrible game. The misery was only further worsened on Monday, after it was confirmed that captain Reece James will be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury.
Let's see what happens. It feels highly unlikely that Chelsea will progress in the Champions League. But you feel like, just for morale and perhaps even his own job security, Rosenior could at least really do with a win on the night.
