After months without minutes at Chelsea, Alex Disasi has finally found a lifeline at West Ham. The French defender opens up about frustration, fresh motivation, and his determination to prove his worth in the Premier League once again.

Alex Disasi was in a difficult situation in the first part of the season at Chelsea. The French defender was left out of the first team by the then Chelsea manager Maresca and didn’t play a single minute with the first team, but was also ordered to train with the U23 team of the Blues.

To this should be added also the fact that in the second part of last season, Disasi was sent on loan to Aston Villa, and this brings the player to have not played an official match with Chelsea since January 2025.

Also, with the new coach Rosenior, the situation of the French defender didn’t change. He was still not selected to play a minute for the Blues. This situation brought to the fact that the future of Disasi was in doubt in the January transfer market.

A lot of rumors circulated about the new destination of the French defender. A lot of teams from the Premier League, but not only were interested in signing him. Teams like West Ham, Roma, Milan, etc. contacted the Blues in order to start negotiations with Chelsea about the player.

After many rumors and a difficult month for the player himself, on the last day of the transfer window, it became official that his new destination would still be in the Premier League, still in London. So Alex Disasi became a new player of West Ham on loan for the second part of the season.

West Ham saw Disasi as a perfect reinforcement for the team for the second half of the season, in order to achieve their objectives. The French defender spoke to the media of the club during his official presentation: “I’m very happy to be here, to have this opportunity. I'm just ready to fight and to play games. Everyone knows my situation in the last few months, so I just want to get back on the field, feel the sensation of games, and help the team. The Club has allowed me to show my quality on the pitch. I spoke with all the people here, and I feel that they really wanted me, so that's why I'm here today”.
