Rosenior praises Garnacho's character and professionalism, predicting his best form is imminent for Chelsea after overcoming personal challenges.
One of the moves that generated the most impact in the transfer market in mid-2025 had Alejandro Garnacho as its main protagonist. The young winger ceased to be a Manchester United player to become a new signing for Chelsea, which is looking to seriously compete in Europe again. In that regard, Liam Rosenior analyzed his most recent situation in London.
In the previous transfer window, the Argentine was transferred for €46.2 million with the clear objective of giving another quality boost to the Blues' attack, which has been showing clear and constant improvement. However, the moments for the 21-year-old forward have not been the best, and he has alternated good and bad performances, which has led him to be looked at askance by the fans.
The truth is that, in a press conference, the Chelsea coach broke his silence about him. “He has really impressed me in the last few weeks, and he has impressed me more when he has been out of the team because of his reaction to being out of the team, his professionalism, and the intensity with which he has trained,” Rosenior stated initially. “It's no coincidence that he came out and performed like that,” he added about his level against Aston Villa.

Not content with that, he doubled down and continued in defense of the Argentine. “People judge others by their appearance,” he hinted as an encrypted message. “Garna is a person with a very good character who works very hard every day in training. I know that, in the end, his quality is going to show in a very consistent way,” Rosenior stated without hesitation.
Along the same lines as mentioned above, he expanded on his remarks on the matter. “That is the most rewarding thing for me,” Rosenior revealed about Garnacho. Without going any further, he also stated, “He should have scored.” Although he did not manage to do so against Aston Villa, the head coach clarified and highlighted: “He was in the right position and I loved his generosity in assisting Joao for the goal.”
