Chelsea is preparing for another ambitious summer in the transfer market. The Blues have set their sights on Bayern Munich’s rising midfield star, but with Manchester City also interested.

Chelsea has started a project on young, talented players from around the world over the last couple of years. They have invested heavily in young, talented players across different roles and have offered them long contracts to give them the opportunity to grow and mature.

From the other side, the club's objectives have remained the same: to fight for important objectives and to win trophies through an attacking play philosophy. Last season under Maresca, the Blues won two cups and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. This season, the club has had ups and downs, and the Blues changed their coach from Maresca to Rosenior.

With Rosenior, Chelsea is fighting in order to qualify for the next edition of the UEFA Champions League. The players are fighting on the pitch, while the club is working on the upcoming transfer market this summer. They are watching several players across several positions to find the right profiles for the team next season.

An area the club's directors have identified as needing investment is the midfield. The London club's plan is to continue investing in young, talented midfielders who can add significant value to the club's present and future. According to Caught Offside, a player that the club is following closely is the midfielder of Bayern Munich.

Chelsea is interested in the young, talented defensive midfielder Aleksander Pavlovic at Bayern Munich. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has been part of the German team since 2021, and his contract expires in 2029.

Despite his young age, Aleksander already has extensive experience playing for such an important team at such a high level. To date, Pavlovic has played 87 matches for Bayern Munich, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists. This season, the German midfielder has played 32 matches across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.

Aleksander is a modern defensive midfielder who can recover the ball and also initiate the team's attacking phase. Also, he is a strong midfielder who isn’t afraid of duels and understands the different situations of the game. The Blues seem to see Pavlovic as a midfielder who can create a fantastic trio with Enzo and Caicedo.

The London club is willing to make a generous offer for the German midfielder, but faces strong competition from other major teams, including Manchester City. It remains to be seen if Bayern Munich will be ready to sell the midfielder or if Pavlovic will continue his career in Germany at the club where he initiated his career.
