Chelsea Outcast Attracts Napoli, Fulham Interest cover image

Out of Chelsea’s plans and training alone, Raheem Sterling still has no shortage of suitors. Napoli and Fulham are keen—but family, London life, and a World Cup year are pushing the winger toward one clear decision as January nears its end.

Raheem Sterling has been one of the most important and talented English players in recent years. He has been very important for the English national team, but also for the teams he has played for. Sterling has played for some of the most important teams in the UK, like Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

The winger has played for some of the best managers in the world during his career and has been a key element for them. Until now, Sterling has played a total of 599 matches with 182 goals and 133 assists. He has been part of Chelsea since 2022 expect the season 2024/2025, where he was loaned to Arsenal.

During his tenure at Chelsea, the winger has played 81 times for the Blues with 19 goals and 15 assists. Raheem hasn’t played any minutes this season and has trained alone due to the club's decision to leave him outside of the squad because he was no longer a part of their plans.

A lot of rumors have been circulated about the future of the winger. Different teams from the Premier League and abroad are interested in signing the winger from Chelsea. A team that is very interested in him is the Italian champions Napoli. Antonio Conte sees him as a perfect reinforcement for his team in order to secure for the second consecutive year the crown of the champions of Serie A.

Another team that is very interested in getting the services of the winger is Fulham. They see Sterling as a perfect reinforcement for the second part of the season to boost the attacking options of Marco Silva. The only problem with this transfer is the huge salary that Sterling receives at Chelsea.

The winger desires to stay in London for family reasons for his kids and wife, rather than to change completely country and to start a new life in a new country at this moment in his life. These last days of the transfer market will be very important for the future of Sterling, keeping in mind that this summer will also be the World Cup in the US.
