Fernandez confirms unwavering commitment to Chelsea, silencing exit rumors. He feels happy, motivated, and determined to win trophies at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Fernandez spoke about his future at Chelsea and put an end to the speculation that had arisen in recent weeks about a possible departure. The Argentine midfielder made his position clear and reaffirmed his commitment to the London club, where he says he feels happy and motivated.
The world champion from Qatar 2022 assured this Friday, 6 February, that he does not think about leaving Stamford Bridge, despite rumors circulating in European media. In statements to Sky Sports, the midfielder highlighted his connection with the institution and his desire to continue growing in the Premier League.
"I am very grateful for the three years I have been here. We have gone from worse to better, and being here today makes me very happy," expressed the Argentine footballer, making it clear he is experiencing a positive moment both professionally and personally.
Enzo Fernandez also emphasized that his main goal is to win trophies with Chelsea, a club that, in his own words, demands competing at the highest level. "I want to win titles because that is what this club demands. I am very connected, and I feel very good," stated the midfielder.
Since his arrival in January 2023 from Benfica for a figure close to €120 million, the Argentine has become a key piece within the team's scheme. His performance has grown and has been decisive at different moments of the season.
Enzo's good form is reflected in his recent statistics and in his nomination for Premier League Player of the Month for January, after registering three goals and one assist in five matches. Among his most notable performances are the draw against Manchester City and the decisive goal against West Ham United.
With eight goals in the current Premier League, the Argentine is experiencing his most productive campaign since his arrival in Europe. Furthermore, under the management of Liam Rosenior, he has resumed a more withdrawn role in midfield, sharing duties with Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo, which has allowed him to balance the team's play and enhance his influence in offensive build-up.
