Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee continues to move toward the exit door, and Juventus is shaping up as a serious destination, according to Sky Sports.

After moving from Bologna in the summer of 2024, the Dutchman endured a first campaign of ups and downs at Old Trafford, but at least he was a regular fixture in the team.

In contrast, the 24-year-old has been relegated to the bench this summer following the arrivals of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha.

Zirkzee is still unavailable to Michael Carrick due to an injury, but based on the new manager's initial selections, the forward's playing time is unlikely to improve, especially with Matheus Cunha and Sesko starting on the bench in the wins over Manchester City and Arsenal.

Therefore, the Dutch international's future remains uncertain, and a move in the final days of January is on the horizon.

Initially, Zirkzee was considered a prime target for AS Roma. But the Italian capital's team has already acquired Doniel Mallen from Aston Villa.

The forward is very excited about the possibility of returning to Italy and has already given the green light to his signing by Juventus.

The Bianconeri are currently working to bring back Randal Kolo Muani. However, they are aware that the operation will be complicated, as they will have to negotiate agreements with his current club, Tottenham, and his parent club, Paris Saint-Germain.

Thus, the Serie A giants, and the report insists that "talks are ongoing" between the parties.

As the source explained, Manchester United has softened its stance on the forward, so they might be willing to let him go on loan with an option to buy without adding an obligation to purchase.

This formula would likely appease Juventus, as it would allow them to decide the player's fate at the end of the season. It remains to be seen if there will be concrete developments on the issue before Monday's deadline.

The forward's numbers so far this season have not been as expected. He has recorded 14 Premier League appearances, of which only 4 have been starts; he came on as a substitute in the other 10. He has scored 2 goals, the most recent against Wolverhampton on December 30, and has provided one assist, which came in the match against Leeds United, corresponding to matchday 20 of the Premier League.
