Mainoo and Fernandes spearhead a potent attack as Carrick's United aims for Champions League glory, facing a crucial West Ham clash.

Michael Carrick's Manchester United has become a winning machine, giving Red Devils fans a string of joys they hadn't experienced in a long time. Currently, they are in a UEFA Champions League spot, and no one can take away their hope of continuing to compete for more, although they will face a tough team that needs a win to distance itself from the bottom.

The possible Manchester United lineup vs. West Ham.

GK: Senne Lammens – The gamble between the sticks. The Belgian goalkeeper stays in the starting eleven, seeking security in a match that will require concentration against the Hammers' counterattacks.

RB: Diogo Dalot – The tireless full-back. His ability to drift inside or get to the byline offers Carrick tactical variations.

CB: Harry Maguire – The reborn. With De Ligt out (back injury), Maguire assumes the leadership of the defense. His aerial play will be vital to defend crosses aimed at Castellanos.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – 'The Butcher'. His aggression and ball-playing ability are fundamental to Carrick's system.

LB: Luke Shaw – Experience and power. If his fitness holds, Shaw is an additional offensive weapon. His partnership with Cunha or Mbeumo down the left could dismantle West Ham's defense.

CDM: Casemiro – The anchor. His experience is priceless in these big matches. He will be tasked with sweeping in front of the defense and cutting out the opponent's transitions.

CM: Kobbie Mainoo – The midfield jewel. His dynamism and ability to break lines by driving forward make him the perfect partner for Bruno. He is the present and future of Old Trafford.

RW: Amad Diallo – Pure flair. He starts from the right with the freedom to take on defenders. His dribbling in tight spaces could be the key to unlocking a defense arriving with fitness doubts.

AM: Bruno Fernandes – The architect. The Premier League's top assister. All the attacking play flows through his feet. He will look to play that final killer pass that so often hurts advanced defensive lines.

LW: Bryan Mbeumo – The mobility. Far from being a static forward, Mbeumo offers constant movement and a high press, wearing down the opposing center-backs for the potential introduction of a quick midfielder in the second half.

ST: Matheus Cunha – Brazilian talent. Whether starting from the left or drifting centrally, his mobility and long-range shooting are a constant threat.

This is how the Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1) would look:

  • Goalkeeper: Senne Lammens
  • Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw
  • Midfielders: Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo
  • Attacking midfielders: Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha
  • Forward: Bryan Mbeumo
