The Manchester United Superstar has seemingly made some new revelations regarding his situation during this year's summer transfer window

Bruno Fernandes has been one of the most influential players on the Manchester United side this year and in every other season since he arrived from Sporting Lisbon in 2020.

United brought in some massive summer reinforcements in the form of Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko in order to address their goalscoring problems but despite all of that Bruno has put up a combined number of 12 goals and assists this season, which is more than anyone else till now.

The Man United captain's current contract with the Reds runs out in 2027, with the club holding an option for a one-year extension as he signed a new agreement with the club in 2024

The 31-year-old star received offers from the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal approaching with an eye-popping contract that was put in front of the Portuguese midfielder last summer.

Fernandes spoke on the situation during an interview in October, saying, "The manager spoke with me. He said I was still part of the project. He wanted me to stay. The club said the same."

As reported by The Athletic, in a recent interview organised by the Portuguese Football Federation, Bruno was a bit more explosive and made some new revelations regarding his situation during this year's summer transfer window.

During the interview Bruno was quoted saying, "The club wanted me to go, I have that in my head. I told the directors that, but I think they didn’t have the courage to make that decision, because the manager wanted me. If I had said I wanted to leave, they would have let me go."

The United captain also revealed previously that he had a chat with his fellow Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, as Ronaldo advised him to join the Saudi Pro League, but Bruno insisted on carrying on for the Reds even after receiving offers with huge salaries.

According to Bruno, the Manchester United management did not completely say no to the massive transfer fee that Al Hilal were ready to offer for the transfer of the Portuguese star, let out his frustration saying, "In England, when a player starts approaching 30, they start thinking they need a makeover. It’s like the furniture." (Mais Futebol)

This revelation will undoubtedly dampen the relationship between the board and the long-serving player and could be an indication of a possible summer exit for United captain, as he explained his situation at the club, saying, "I feel like I’m on thin ice."
