Manchester United managed to hold on for a 2-2 draw after Harry Maguire was sent off against Bournemouth in a game full of controversial decisions.

Man Utd were ROBBED vs Bournemouth

Manchester United started the game with an impressive tempo, which saw them create a few chances for the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Amad.

The hosts did grow into the contest, however, and Senne Lammens was forced into making a solid stop at his near post following a low effort from Rayan.

Michael Carrick's side opened the scoring through the penalty spot after Matheus Cunha was clearly pulled inside the area. Bruno Fernandes converted the spot-kick confidently.

Amad was then also pulled and tripped inside the box but Stuart Atwell ignored the decision. It looked like he was too scared to give another United penalty so soon after the first.

But then Bournemouth went up the other end of the pitch and equalised. VAR looked at the incident but did not alter the on-field decision.

United responded instantly and Fernandes' corner was put into the back of the net after it hit James Hill on the way through.

However, the drama continued and Evanilson was judged to be fouled inside of the United box by Harry Maguire, who was shown a straight red card. The decision was hard to believe after Amad's penalty shout was waved away.

Carrick made some adjustments and the 10-men United side were able to hold on for a valuable point in the circumstances.

Senne Lammens - 7/10

Another impressive display in goal, with a few saves and confidence in the air.

Diogo Dalot - 4/10

The Portuguese defender was poor on the ball throughout the clash.

Leny Yoro - 7/10

A good recovery run early on helped stop a Bournemouth counter-attack. Consistent across the 90 minutes despite late pressure.

Harry Maguire - 5/10

He was having a good game but was then sent off. There will be arguments about whether it was even a foul but he allowed there to be a decision to be made.

Luke Shaw - 3/10

Really struggled in defence against the lively Rayan, who tested Lammens with a fierce shot when cutting inside of Shaw. Poor on the ball too.

Kobbie Mainoo - 6/10

Mainoo started very well in this clash. As United lost control, he had to dig in out of possession and did that well too.

Casemiro - 4/10

Booked midway through the first-half for a tactical foul on Marcus Tavernier, who found himself with space to run into on the half-turn. Poor on the ball and caught out of position too often. His worst display under Carrick.

Amad - 6/10

Two solid efforts on his right foot, with the second being an incredibly dangerous chance after a good move from the Reds, but then wasted the best chance of the first-half after a poor first touch. Worked hard until he was subbed.

Bruno Fernandes - 8/10

Calm and collected from the penalty spot to give United the lead and then delivered the cross for the second goal. Another solid display and looked shattered at the end.

Matheus Cunha - 8/10

Once again the Brazilian operated wider and impressed. Won the penalty for United after a great bit of skill to get between two players. Unfortunate to come off after the red card as Carrick reshuffled the team.

Bryan Mbeumo - 5/10

Involved in some good link-up play for United but struggled to find space to hurt Bournemouth in the final third. He looks like he needs a bit of time out of the side.
