Speculation swirls as Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly seeks an exit from Saudi Arabia, potentially paving the way for a dramatic return to Manchester United.

The world of football entered a state of shock this Tuesday, 3 February. Cristiano Ronaldo, the top scorer in the history of the sport, could be living his final days in Saudi Arabian football. According to reports arriving from the Old Continent, the Portuguese star is reportedly not comfortable at Al-Nassr, which has unleashed a wave of speculation placing him back at Manchester United for an unprecedented third spell with the Red Devils.

The world was rocked by the protest Cristiano Ronaldo made following Karim Benzema's arrival at Al Hilal, primarily because the Portuguese forward accused the Public Investment Fund of offering greater opportunities to Neymar's former team than to his own.

His stay in Saudi Arabia is not assured, and in recent hours, sources in England revealed there is an opportunity for him to have a third stint at Manchester United. Yes, although it may seem unreal, the Madeira-born player could return to the club where he won his first Champions League.

Despite being 40 years old, Cristiano has demonstrated that his physical fitness and goal-scoring instinct remain intact, factors that have sparked the interest of a directorship at Old Trafford seeking to recover lost leadership and mystique, even though the Portuguese's second spell did not end on the best terms with the institution.

He is not only appearing on the radar of the Red Devils, where he has reportedly already decided to give up a large amount of money to leave Al-Nassr and play again at Old Trafford. It is worth noting that to mark his discontent, after being absent from the victory against Al-Riyadh, he did not attend training this Tuesday.

It is important to mention that in the United States, they also link him with LAFC and with Orlando City, the top rival of Inter Miami. Therefore, in the event he moves to MLS and chooses to play for the club situated in the state of Florida, the mythical rivalry with Lionel Messi would resurface, just as it did when they wore the shirts of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

While they did not reveal the percentage of his salary he would accept reducing to return to English football, the former Lusitanian is currently the highest-paid athlete in the entire world, as he receives a figure of around $260M annually, a sum that places him above the rest of the elite athletes.

According to the Transfermarkt portal, the Portuguese player's valuation is currently priced at €12M, a figure accessible to any European giant, although the real challenge lies in his elevated salary.

For Cristiano Ronaldo, returning to Europe represents the opportunity to compete at the highest level months before the start of the World Cup. If finalized, Manchester United would recover its prodigal son, for what many would consider his definitive farewell tour from the pitch. The coming hours will be decisive in defining the future of the most iconic number seven in history.
