Substitute Desire Doue turned the tide against Monaco, scoring twice and proving decisive in a thrilling 3-2 playoff victory.

Very clear man of the match in this Monaco vs. PSG (2-3) in the first leg of the Champions League playoffs, even though he was a substitute at kickoff, Desire Doue did not engage in controversy after the game, while recalling that he had played as usual.

Desire, it's a 3-2 victory. Are you satisfied with this result, given everything that happened in this match?

"Yes, we're happy because we have the win. The most important thing is to win in this type of game."

You were voted man of the match. Two goals, you were also decisive on the second. Did you have something to prove tonight?

"No, I try to play as usual. Tonight, it paid off. I scored, I was able to help the team, it's my job."

How did you take what happened all week, finding yourself on the bench tonight?

"The coach makes his choices. He always thinks about the best players who can play for the team. Tonight, he lined up his eleven; that's great. We did our best tonight and it's always a collective victory. Whether it's a loss or a win, it's always collective. Today, I was able to contribute and I'm happy."

Are you happy with your evening?

"Yes, of course."

Doue replaced Ousmane Dembele, position for position, before even the half-hour mark, and the vengeful player was excellent. Barely having entered, he reduced the deficit with a superb left-footed strike before continuing in fine fashion: precision in his choices, powerful shots leading to goals whether with or without the goalkeeper's help and a string of superb crosses from the left that created clear chances. To top it off, technical excellence was back.
