As part of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg, PSG hosted Chelsea this Wednesday evening, and the Parisians, despite having given two goals to the London side, knew how to impose themselves in fine fashion.
Bradley Barcola opened the scoring quickly; Malo Gusto equalized swiftly; Ousmane Dembélé illuminated the match, but Enzo Fernández again brought the Blues level just past the hour mark.
Vitinha then took advantage of a goalkeeper error to score the 3-2 goal with 15 minutes remaining. It was an unleashed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who scored both of PSG's goals at the end of the match, as they will go to London with a three-goal advantage.
Matvey Safonov (5): A somewhat soft hand on the first goal, but an important save immediately after.
Achraf Hakimi (6): Difficulties in building play, but an important offensive presence that paid off toward the end.
Marquinhos (5): Struggled against Pedro Neto, with a significant speed deficit.
Willian Pacho (8): A titanic duel against João Pedro, which he largely won despite the Brazilian being tenacious until the end.
Nuno Mendes (3): Two huge errors on the two opposing goals, slightly better toward the end.
Vitinha (7): A gradual rise in performance, with a superb goal and a strong finish.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (4): Some duels won, but a rather insipid evening overall.
João Neves (8): Incredible generosity to neutralize Palmer, constant energy, and offensive presence.
Désiré Doué (5): Struggled to be consistent but technically inspired, decisive in the 2-1 but also in the 2-2.
Ousmane Dembélé (7): A magical goal, several good actions, but an uncertain work rate.
Bradley Barcola (8): A superb goal to launch his match, constant selflessness that paid off, but a notable lapse on the 1-1.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (9): We generally don't rate players who weren't starters, but what Khvicha did was spectacular. World-class performance.
