Even though he plays little for PSG this season, Lucas Beraldo does not wish to leave Paris. The Brazilian international might even be close to extending.
Lucas Beraldo arrived at PSG during the winter of 2024. Although he played a lot in his first half-season, the Brazilian central defender has played much less this 2025-26 campaign. He has indeed only participated in twelve matches across all competitions (11 starts, 917 minutes of playing time).
Last summer, rumors of a departure surfaced. But the player denied them, explaining that he felt good in Paris and wanted to continue the adventure at PSG.
This Friday, L'Equipe discussed the Lucas Beraldo case. Still under contract with PSG until June 2028, the Brazilian international should very soon extend his contract. The sports outlet does not mention the duration of this new contract.
L'Equipe recalls that, in recent months, he was among the elements regularly cited as possible departures. The cited outlet concludes by explaining that PSG still wishes to extend Senny Mayulu and Bradley Barcola.
REUTERSPreviously, Spanish outlet Fichajes linked Beraldo with Manchester United. "At Old Trafford, they value his youth and the potential he could still develop in a different environment, away from the media spotlight of PSG," the cited outlet noted, via National World.
The Brazilian was also interested in Chelsea a few months ago, according to Football Transfers UK. If both clubs remain interested, this news could represent a big blow.
