Hakimi, on a scoring streak, receives an uncharacteristic four-day mid-season vacation from PSG, a clever move ahead of AFCON.

Against all prognosis, considering his great moment of form, Achraf Hakimi will enjoy nothing less than four days of rest. It was PSG itself that just announced it.

On the field, he seems tireless, seeing him make run after run on the right wing, above all because they start from the back and most of the time end in the rival area, but the truth is that Hakimi, 26, is indeed going to have to rest.

The day after a match in Brest where he scored a brace, a feat uncommon for a player in his position, the Moroccan full-back received from the club nothing less than four days of vacation, something very unusual at this stage of the season.

In a brief statement published only on its social media, the club explained that "by common agreement with the sporting direction and the technical staff, Achraf Hakimi is being left to rest."

"He will rejoin group training next Thursday," while his teammates only have the right to one day of rest, which is this Monday. A special treatment that is also explained because the Moroccan is the only element of the squad who will play the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the middle of winter, with Morocco.

As a consequence of the decision by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos to give the Moroccan rest, Hakimi will be absent for the Lorient vs. PSG on Wednesday, but logically, he should return for the PSG vs. Nice next Saturday, the last match before the hugely important fixture against Bayern Munich, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th.

For the moment, he is the only one being given this additional rest, but it is expected that others follow his example in the course of the season, since PSG used this method on numerous occasions last season with considerable success, as seen in the number of injuries.

It is worth mentioning that this season, Hakimi is not the most used field player, as Warren Zaïre-Emery surpasses him, with 931 minutes against 924.
