Young Brazilian talents Beraldo and Moscardo face uncertain futures at PSG, with potential moves back to their homeland sparking transfer speculation.

Two years after their transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Brazilians Lucas Beraldo, 21, and Gabriel Moscardo, 20, could return to Brazil, according to press reports there.

Signed by PSG in the 2024 winter transfer window for 20 million euros each, Beraldo and Moscardo have had different paths in Paris.

The former, who arrived from Sao Paulo, quickly got significant playing time at PSG, with whom he had a historic 2024/2025 season, even if he was not a key protagonist in the successful European campaign.

The defender was useful for manager Luis Enrique's squad rotations, playing 69 total games since his arrival – a considerable number in under two years.

Beraldo also became a Brazilian international. However, he has fallen out of favor with Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti, who did not call him up for matches in November.

A departure in the winter transfer window, months before the 2026 World Cup, is a credible scenario. The player has repeatedly denied exit rumors, which have linked him to AC Milan and, most recently, to Vasco da Gama. The legendary Rio de Janeiro club is in 11th place with five matches left in the Brazilian league.

According to the outlet Corujao Vascaino, Vasco's Portuguese executive Admar Lopes wants to sign Beraldo. The report claims Beraldo wants to leave PSG to boost his chances of playing for Brazil in the 2026 World Cup.

Moscardo's situation is different. After his 2024 signing, he stayed with Corinthians before joining PSG and then being loaned to Stade de Reims. There, injuries limited him to very few appearances.

This season, he is on loan at Portuguese club Braga but has struggled to become a starter. He has made only 10 appearances, totaling 447 minutes.

This lack of playing time could prompt all parties to consider a new loan in January, according to the Brazilian site E Gool, which reported that Sao Paulo club Palmeiras is interested. However, PSG's preference is for Moscardo to see out the season with Braga.

Both Brazilians will be cases to watch during the next transfer window.
