A forgotten PSG prospect is making waves in Portugal, proving their gamble paid off with a significant sell-on clause intact.

Cousin of Desire Doue, Eddy Doue, signed in Portugal during the winter transfer window and is already starting to get noticed, positively. Good news for Paris Saint-Germain, which negotiated a nice sell-on percentage.

A 20-year-old Ivorian midfielder who arrived at PSG in the summer of 2024 from Dunkerque, Eddy Doue is the cousin of Desire Doue and Guela Doue. And like them, Eddy Doue has talent to spare.

Never appearing for the pros in Paris, Eddy Doue benefited from the creation of the under-23 team to get noticed this season during Premier League International Cup matches played against Newcastle, Chelsea, and Brighton.

Quickly, compilations of his matches made the rounds on social networks, and the hype ultimately led to a transfer to the Portuguese first division to Estrela Amadora, currently 11th in the championship. A free transfer with a sell-on percentage, according to the few leaks in the press regarding the details of the operation.

PSG Kept 50% of Eddy Doue's Rights

This Tuesday, the Portuguese sports daily A Bola dedicates a small article to Eddy Doue in its edition of the day.

After two substitute appearances against Benfica and Alverca, the former Parisian player started last Saturday during his team's 1-0 victory over Santa Clara, and his performance won over "once again the management and supporters of Amadora, a large part of them expressing their satisfaction with the quality of Eddy Doue's play."

We also learned that PSG retained 50% of the player's economic rights. The day Eddy Doue leaves Estrela Amadora, PSG will therefore receive half of the fee, which will always be good to have and a good deal since Desire Doue's cousin joined PSG for free in 2024.
