The LFP has unveiled the TV schedule for Matchday 30 of Ligue 1, and the marquee matchup PSG vs. Lyon will indeed be played in prime time on Sunday, April 19, on Ligue 1+.
While the LFP board of directors will decide Thursday morning on the postponement request for the Lens vs. PSG Matchday 29 Ligue 1 match, a request made by the Parisian club, the League confirmed Monday the date for the PSG vs. Nantes Matchday 26 Ligue 1 match, initially scheduled for the weekend of March 14-15, falling between PSG's two Champions League round-of-16 matches against Chelsea.
Until now, it was simply known that this match would be played during the week of April 20, and the LFP confirmed on Monday that this PSG vs. Nantes match will ultimately take place on Wednesday, April 22. On Monday, the LFP also confirmed the TV schedule for Matchday 30 of Ligue 1, a matchday highlighted by the PSG vs. Lyon showdown.
This PSG vs. Lyon fixture is among the 10 premium matchups selected by Ligue 1+ at the start of the season, and it has long been known to take place on Sunday, April 19. It still required confirmation from the LFP, which it provided on Monday.
PSG will therefore travel to Anfield on Tuesday, April 14, for the Champions League quarterfinal second leg before hosting Lyon at the Parc des Princes five days later, on Sunday, April 19. PSG will host FC Nantes three days later, on Wednesday, April 22, before traveling to Angers on a date yet to be confirmed.
