Saudi Arabia eyes Ousmane Dembele for 2026, but concrete offers and contract talks with PSG remain elusive.

In discussions with Paris Saint-Germain to extend his contract expiring in 2028, Ousmane Dembele would be Saudi Arabia's priority for the summer 2026 transfer window. But according to the latest reports from Spain, nothing is very concrete at the moment.

Crowned Ballon d'Or last September after a stunning and historic season with PSG, Ousmane Dembele is said to be Saudi Arabia's big dream for the next summer transfer window. This is what Sky Sports claimed at the end of January, confirming what had been whispered in football circles for a few weeks already.

Approaching 29 and under contract until 2028 with PSG, Ousmane Dembele would, however, for now remain focused on his 2025/26 season, with the desire to achieve a Champions League back-to-back and then have a great World Cup with the French national team.

In Spain, where Dembele played for several years, the main sports daily Marca (albeit Madrid-based) took stock of Saudi interest in the former Barcelona winger. And according to Pablo Polo, one of the historic journalists of this outlet who recently interviewed Luis Campos (a coincidence?), nothing is very concrete at the moment between Dembele and Saudi Arabia.

Dembele would have been aware of the Saudi interest for some time, "but things have progressed little because, for now, the Frenchman is not thinking about the future and has not received any offer." Furthermore, according to Marca, nothing is very advanced either between Dembele and PSG at this stage, aside from the will to continue together, provided, of course, they agree on the financial aspect, which seems to be the main obstacle in this case.

Despite the recent comments from Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who praised Dembele while mentioning the salary cap and the idea that no one could be above the club, the relationship between the Parisian No. 10 and the club would remain "excellent and fluid" according to Marca, which therefore does not really believe in an imminent departure of Dembele at this time, even though things have time to evolve in the coming months.
