Champions League semifinal dates are set. PSG faces a potential clash with Real Madrid or Bayern.
If PSG manages to eliminate Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals, it will face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semifinals. UEFA has just revealed the dates.
While PSG's Ligue 1 schedule has been a hot topic since the postponement of its match at Lens, initially scheduled for April 11 and ultimately postponed to May 13, UEFA has unveiled the dates for the Champions League semifinals, which will be played on April 28 and 29 for the first leg, and May 5 and 6 for the return leg.
If PSG eliminates Liverpool in the quarterfinals, it already knows it will face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the first leg of the semifinals on Tuesday, April 28, at Parc des Princes, with a return leg at the Bernabeu or the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, May 6.
That is a Tuesday-Wednesday sequence, as in the playoffs against Monaco, with Lorient hosting in Ligue 1 Matchday 32 in between (likely on Friday, May 1, or Saturday, May 2).
Against Chelsea in the round of 16, PSG played the first leg at Parc des Princes on a Wednesday night and then the return leg at Stamford Bridge the following Tuesday, which prompted it to request the postponement of its Ligue 1 weekend match against Nantes.
Against Liverpool, PSG will also have a Wednesday-Tuesday sequence (April 8 and 14), and Luis Campos explained the reason this week: Liverpool could not play on Wednesday, April 15, because of the Hillsborough disaster on April 15, 1989, in which no fewer than 97 Reds supporters lost their lives in a crush.
It is because of this Wednesday-Tuesday sequence that PSG requested (and obtained) the postponement of its match at Lens, initially scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at 5 p.m. in Ligue 1, but which will now be played on Wednesday, May 13, one week after PSG's potential Champions League semifinal return leg.

- Friday, May 1, or Saturday, May 2: PSG vs. Lorient in Ligue 1 (to be confirmed)
- Wednesday, May 6: Champions League semifinal second leg (if qualified)
