Bournemouth Target Historic Record That Has Stood for 56 Years In Top Flight Football
Bournemouth have the chance to make a little piece of footballing history when they travel to Prague on Thursday, with Marco Rose's side closing in on a top flight record that has stood for an incredible 56 years. The Cherries have been in formidable defensive form, becoming the first top flight side since Tottenham Hotspur to win 12 consecutive halves of football without conceding a goal. Spurs previously set the benchmark back in 1970, and Bournemouth are now just one half away from going one better. If the Cherries can get through the opening 45 minutes against Sparta Prague without conceding, they will officially surpass a record that has remained untouched for more than half a century. Bournemouth are already enjoying a remarkable run of clean sheets, Thursday's Europa League clash offers another opportunity to underline just how impressive their defensive transformation has been. Could history be made in the Czech capital?

Who Stood Out? Plenty Impress For Bournemouth in 2-0 Victory Over Leeds United
Bournemouth produced another impressive all round performance to see off Leeds United 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium, with several players stepping up to deliver on another memorable afternoon for the Cherries. Marco Rose's side looked assured at both ends of the pitch, combining attacking intent with the defensive discipline that has become such a defining feature of their recent success. The backline once again deserves plenty of credit, recording a sixth consecutive clean sheet, while the midfield provided energy, control and creativity to keep Leeds at arm's length. Further forward, Bournemouth had the quality to make their opportunities count, continuing a remarkable run that has now seen them win six successive matches in all competitions. It was another collective effort rather than a performance built around one individual, but there were certainly some standout contributions worthy of recognition as the Cherries continued their remarkable momentum.

Bournemouth Confirm Alex Toth Set for Months on the Sidelines After Major Muscle Injury
Bournemouth have confirmed that midfielder Alex Toth will be sidelined for several months after suffering a significant muscle injury, delivering a frustrating blow for the Hungarian international. Toth has found regular minutes hard to come by since arriving at the Vitality Stadium and will undoubtedly be gutted to have another lengthy spell on the sidelines just as he looks to establish himself in Marco Rose's plans. The injury comes at a particularly unfortunate time, with a busy run of fixtures on the horizon and plenty of opportunities for players to make their mark. The Cherries could certainly do with having their midfield options available, especially with fellow central midfielder Alex Scott still working his way back to full fitness following his own injury problems. Scott's imminent return will provide a welcome boost, but Toth's absence will leave Rose with one fewer option as Bournemouth navigate an increasingly demanding schedule. For Toth personally, the priority will now be getting back to full fitness and putting this setback behind him.

Alex Scott Is Closing In On A Return To Action For The Cherries
Bournemouth fans could soon be handed a huge boost with the imminent return of star midfielder Alex Scott, who is now just a few weeks away from making his comeback from injury. The classy midfielder has been a key figure for the Cherries, and his return could come at a crucial time as Marco Rose's side look to maintain their impressive run of form. Scott's energy, technical ability and ability to dictate the tempo of games would provide another valuable option in an already impressive midfield. While Bournemouth have coped impressively in his absence, having a player of Scott's quality back available could take the team to another level. There is a busy schedule and important run of fixtures ahead, his return may prove to be a significant boost as the Cherries look to keep their momentum going.

Lewis Cook: The Unsung Hero Behind Bournemouth’s Incredible Defensive Record
Lewis Cook is continuing to prove just how important he is to Bournemouth, with the Cherries boasting an incredible defensive record whenever the midfielder has been on the pitch this season. Cook has featured for 668 minutes across all competitions so far, and in that time the Cherries have conceded just ONE goal. That sole strike came away at Newcastle United, highlighting the remarkable defensive solidity the side has shown with the midfielder in the team. While the spotlight often falls on Bournemouth's attacking talents, Cook's influence in the middle of the park should not be underestimated. His work rate, positional awareness and ability to break up opposition attacks provide an important platform for those further forward to flourish. The statistics underline just how integral Cook has become to the Cherries' recent success. Keeping opponents quiet is a collective effort, of course, but conceding just once in 668 minutes with Cook involved is an extraordinary return. Could Cook be one of Bournemouth's most underrated players?

Who Was Bournemouth’s Standout Performer in the 3-0 Win Over Aston Villa?
Bournemouth continued their incredible run of form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, securing their place in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup and setting up an exciting away tie against Liverpool. It was another hugely impressive performance from the Cherries, who made it three consecutive 3-0 victories across three different competitions. Even with Marco Rose making further changes to his starting eleven, Bournemouth showed their quality, depth and attacking threat to overcome a Villa side who have enjoyed an excellent start to the season. With several players impressing on the night, there are plenty of candidates for the standout performer. Whether it was one of the goal scorers who made the difference, a midfielder who controlled proceedings or a defender who helped deliver another clean sheet, the Cherries had quality throughout the team, and picking the player of the match feels difficult in such a polished team display.
