Exclusive: Madueke and Eze set to start while Hincapie returns for Everton clash
Arsenal host Everton today at the Emirates Stadium as one of two 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League. Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze are understood to both be starting today with the latter set to start on the left flank, and the former to start on the right. Bukayo Saka is not included in the squad today as a result of the quadricep injury he sustained at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. Piero Hincapie returns to the bench for Arsenal today after missing the past 3 fixtures due to an ankle sprain sustained in the post-Leeds game warm down. Thanks for the unwavering support as always Arsenal Nation - big weeks ahead.

Exclusive: Saka suffers grade 2 quadricep strain and is set for lengthy period out of action.
Arsenal talisman, Bukayo Saka picked up an injury in Arsenal’s Wednesday night 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena against the German champions; Bayern Munich. It was later confirmed by Arteta in the press conference after the game that it was indeed a quad problem. Since then, a series of scans have taken place (including MRI) to determine the next appropriate steps that the 25-year old should take. Sources indicate that, after a thorough assessment of the injury, the medical team have ruled the Premier League winner out of action for around ‘8 weeks’ with a grade 2 quadricep strain. Further tests are scheduled to take place in the coming days to assess the prominent issue in the quad - fluid. The injury is complex and the timeline is rough for now, in the coming week, all will become clearer and Mikel Arteta will face the media tomorrow to provide hopefully a more definitive update. This provides a real opportunity for Max Dowman, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke to gain valuable minutes across the EFL Cup, Premier League and Champions League on either flank as a result of Bukayo’s injury. Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta faced the media today ahead of tomorrow’s league fixture against Everton. Here’s a few quotes regarding Bukayo Saka’s injury; - “We need a few more scans and opinions from the specialists”. - “Obviously when a player has to walk off the pitch and is struggling to walk without any pain and is restricted to movement, they are not good signs”. - “He's got another MRI this afternoon (Friday) because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area so it was difficult to understand the extent of the injury”.
