Max Dowman’s goal against Ipswich made him the second-youngest player ever to score in the League Cup for a Premier League club.

And the top three are all Arsenal players:

Arsenal revert back to the starting XI which faced Chelsea last weekend, after a week of rotation for the trip to Napoli.

Jurrien Timber makes his return to the Arsenal squad for the first time this season.

Starting XI as expected vs Chelsea!

Konsa replaces Mosquera at centre-back whilst Lewis-Skelly keeps his starting role.

Nelson, who spent 18 years playing for Arsenal through from youth to the senior side has parted ways with the Gunners by mutual consent. Allowing him to become a free agent.

Arsenal’s interest in Kenan Yildiz will likely take a back seat for now after the Juventus star picked up a foot injury in their Serie A opener.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Yildiz has undergone tests on his left foot, with surgery not ruled out and Juventus potentially facing around two months without him!

Juventus weren't prepared to sell the Turkish international this summer, despite Arsenal's interest. Now the injury looks to have ended any possibility of the move at all.

Alaverz's situation at Atletico really doesn't look good. His name was followed by boos across the stadium as the teams were read out pre-match, with the club telling him not to thank fans with his teammates after the match.

Feels like his situation at Atletico is untenable... Surely he moves this summer?

Mikel Arteta has become just the fifth manager in Premier League history to reach 150 wins in fewer than 250 matches!

Arteta joins an elite list including Pep Guardiola, José Mourinho, Jürgen Klopp and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Speaking with The Athletic, Arsenal CEO, Richard Garlick has made the bizarre statement that Arsenal are open to selling both of the Hale End talents should the right club and price come.

“Ethan has had a great pre-season as well, and I think it’s just a case of looking at what opportunities there are that will help both of those in terms of their career moving forward. We are not actively looking at selling those homegrown players but if the right opportunity came up — right for them and the club — we’d obviously consider that.”

Arsenal have had three fixtures rearranged following the latest round matches selected for live TV.

Leeds United's visit the Emirates will now kick off at 12.30pm on Saturday, October 10, while the trip to Nottingham Forest has moved to 4.30pm on Sunday, October 18.

Arsenal line up with a strong squad for the Community Shield.

Madueke starts over Dowman on the right, whilst Martinelli, Nwaneri, Vieira, Nelson and Jesus all miss out on the final squad!
