The defender has dropped a hint about a Celtic return being close, which will come as a relief to the fans.
With just seven league games left this season, and a couple of Scottish Cup games at best, it would be safe to say that Celtic need to be at their blistering best. The Hoops have been poor throughout the campaign but if there was ever a time to just go on a run and get some results, one way or the other, it is now.
The upcoming weeks will be vital to how Martin O'Neill's interim stint as Celtic manager will be remembered. If he can win a trophy, or two, it will be viewed as a grand success. Otherwise, it will be seen as the 74-year-old manager just trying to do his best with what he had been provided with, which, to be fair, was not a ton.
Anyways, Celtic could do with some injury returns at this moment to boost the squad. Arne Engels is expected to be involved after the international break, which is great news for the Hoops.
And it looks like another injury return might not be a million miles away, although the timeline on it remains a bit more clouded.
Julian Araujo was signed on loan from Bournemouth in the winter after he had made just one appearance for the Cherries in the entire first half of the season. Clearly, he needed a change of scenery. And he got it with a move to Parkhead.
Not only has Araujo been a regular starter for Celtic since coming in but he has also established himself as a fan favourite. A large section of the support wants the club to sign the Mexican international on a permanent basis in the summer.
We will cross that bridge when we come to it. But for now, there are concerns about when Araujo will be available, having picked up an injury recently and gone back to Bournemouth to undergo treatment.
That had raised fears that he could be out for the rest of the season. Fortunately, there appears to be decent news in the regard.
Araujo posted a picture of himself in a Celtic jersey on his Instagram story recently, alongside an hourglass emoji, which seems to be hinting at his return.
Araujo returning would be a major boost for Celtic for sure. It will give O'Neill another quality option that he can rely on in this important phase of the season.
But Arauho can be important to Celtic even off the pitch, as characters like him raise the mood of the squad when they are around. We wish him the best in his recovery and hope to see back on the pitch very soon.
