Crystal Palace Women Victorious In First Player's Cup Tie

Crystal Palace Women defeated Watford last night in their first game of the Player's Cup, with a 1-0 victory credit to a late goal by Shannon O'Brien.

The Eagles kept their third clean sheet in four games, but scored only their second goal in the last four matches.

It was a promising result after the difficulty Jo Potter's side found when their attack was unable to break through against Spurs on Sunday, with Palace dominating possession and having 10 shots on target.

The game saw a fully rotated squad, with only Bethany England remaining from the team of the weekend.
