Chris Richards Issues Public Apology To Crystal Palace Fans

Crystal Palace defender Chris Richards has issued a public apology on his Instagram following the defeat to Brighton on Sunday.

"Palace fans, I'm truly sorry for yesterday's performance. You deserve so much better than what happened and there are no excuses."

"I also want to apologise for walking off after the game. I was emotional and embarrassed with the result - I know how much this club means to all of you. We have to take responsibility, do better and show that on the pitch.

Richards had faced big criticism for his actions at the end of the game, storming off before teammate Jørgen Strand Larsen stopped him and convinced him to face the fans.

I'd expect a few more apologies across the day...
